Skagen, Denmark: The docks.

Peg and I stand on the dock with restaurant row behind us. In early days, these were all fish processing plants. Now that job is done aboard the fishing trawlers.

Leah and Morton suggested we try the local delicacies. No frozen food here! It comes in the back and comes out the front to your table. Absolutely mouth watering!

Who wouldn't be happy after a lunch like we had.
Standing on the dock with the harbor in the background. This is a working harbor. Only this end of it is for pleasure craft.

We watch as the King of Norway brings his boat into the harbor.
Leah and Max were standing at the end of the dock when this boat passed by. They waved to the men and when an older gentleman waved to them, she noticed that the flag had a crown displayed on it. They had just been greeted by the King of Norway! How cool is that?

Some of the sailing yachts moored at the dock. The space is limited, so as many as three will tie up side by side. People have to walk over their neighbor's boat to reach the dock.

More yachts. All are sailboats, no powered boats are allowed here. Danes consider them wasteful.
It's impressive that even in a working harbor, you'd be hard pressed to find litter.
